Cold forests are particularly threatened by climate change. A rise of the ambient temperature might change the vegetation altitudinal zonation and hence local animal communities. These changes could be tracked using ecoacoustic techniques. Here, we aim at monitoring over the long term the acoustic diversity of a unique cold forest in the Parc naturel Régional du Haut Jura. We set up automatic recorders in the forest so that we can record the possible changes in the acoustic communities over years, possibly over 15 years, according to climate change. This long-term and challenging program is supported with one-shot programs over one or two years.
