We have published an opinion dealing with the issue of noise pollution in Le Monde with Olivier Adam (Sorbonne Université), Paul Avan (Institut Pasteur), Marion Burgess (University of New South Wales), David Ecotière (CEREMA), Catherine Lavandier, (Cergy Paris Université), Christian Lorenzi (Ecole normale supérieure), Fanny Mietlicki (Bruitparif), Jean-Dominique Polack (Sorbonne Université).

New paper on freshwater ecoacoustics with Camille Desjonquères, Gea van der Lee, Michiel Kraak and Piet Verdonschot from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. We worked on Dutch ditches looking at the link between the soundscape and structural and functional indicators. We found a strong relationship with oxygen dynamics suggesting that acoustics could help monitor stream metabolism!
Our research was covered by the French France Inter radio show La Terre au Carré
Sarah Obaid and Alexandre Folliot arrived to start their PhD and Master project respectively. Sarah will work on bird acoustic communities inhabiting freshwater habitats in Kuwait as described in the new project dB@AlJahra. Alexandre will work on the use of AI to analyse the data of the dB@Risoux project. Welcome on EAR board!
We participated to this Le Monde report about the effects of traffic noise on human health and biodiversity. In French.
