New paper on freshwater ecoacoustics with Camille Desjonquères, Gea van der Lee, Michiel Kraak and Piet Verdonschot from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. We worked on Dutch ditches looking at the link between the soundscape and structural and functional indicators. We found a strong relationship with oxygen dynamics suggesting that acoustics could help monitor stream metabolism!
